Introduction - In this task i will be disscusing the online companies such as oxfam , footlocker and Merseyside fire brigade.I will be talking about their rules and regulations, finanicial issues,funding and risks,organisational structure,website design features amnd job roles and fuctions in an online businesses
One of the online companies i have chosen is oxfam it was established in 1942 and it is apart of the NGO(non-governmental organisation). They are best known for there Charity work in over 90 countries.The website design features are very simple as the background does not clash or interupt the text.The navigation buttons are easy to find and use as shown in the image above. The colour of the background matches the logo and does not change and stays the same on each page.The purpose of this website is to inform the public about the oraganisations charity work and make them a monthly member to the charity to help raise funds.Because they are a charity most of their employees are volonteers,so they don't pay them wages/salary.

Another one of my online companies i have chosen is Footlocker Footlocker was founded in 1794.It is in the Private sector. footlockers website is very easy to understand and use. It is very attractive as the new popular fashion is always on show (New Arrivals) They also have different sections for women,men and kids. Also a good feature is the search bar if you already know what you are looking for to make things more effcient .Also above is the terms and use / terms agreement . The purpose of this website is to show the customers a variety of the latest footwear and clothing online as they may not be on show in the stores. This is apart of the private sector.For many years footlockers main rivals are jd's. They want to be the leading reatiler in the sports wear. "To be the leading global retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel".
merseyside fire brigade was formed in 1974.The website design features for merseyside fire brigade are very simple and easy to understand. They have links/buttons to helpful infomation on how to prevent situations frm occuring.ther background is white with blue font as i said before it is very simple and easy to read.the main purpose of this website is to inform the people in the merseyside area onpast incidents and updating them on things to prevent fires such as automatic fire alarms.Also they leadership groups for what the public can do to help raise awareness about fires.
The usabilty is very considerate as they have diffrent langauges on the website such as somali ,chinese,arabic etc.This may give some the online edge then Jd's as they do not have ESOL
